What I've learnt about God:
He can triumph where we cannot.

What I've learnt about me:
I got more out of these psalms on a second read, which shows there's always more to know and learn about God.

Days 232 and 233: Pentateuch and History of Israel - 1 Samuel 5:1-7:2 and 7:3-17

What I've learnt about God:
His plans will prevail over all else.

What I've learnt about me:
Raising an ebenezer nowadays doesn't have to be a literal raising of a stone, but just marking each time God has helped you so you can look back on it and remember.

Days 232 and 233: Chronicles and Prophets - Jeremiah 50 and 51

What I've learnt about God:
He is not an inactive presence in the world.

What I've learnt about me:
I'll be glad when Jeremiah is over, seems to have been going on for a long time!

Days 232 and 233: Gospels and Epistles - 1 Peter 1:1-12 and 1:13-2:3

What I've learnt about God:
Jesus is out hope and our salvation.

What I've learnt about me:
I love that phrase "though it is tested by fire". Being a Christian is hard and suffering is real and painful, but no matter the testing we can stand firm.
